There are two main types of compressed air dryers: refrigerated compressed air dryers and adsorption dryers.
1. Ordinary cold dryers have the advantages of no gas loss and low energy consumption, but they have the limitation of dew point temperature.
2. Adsorption dryers have the advantage of low dew point, but the disadvantages of large regeneration gas loss and high energy consumption.
3. The two can be combined and complemented to form a combined compressed air dryer with low dew point and low energy consumption, which combines the advantages of cold dryers and adsorption dryers. Through reasonable pipeline connection and capacity matching, the advantages of the two can be maximized to achieve the best economic filtration, produce high-quality low dew point finished gas, and meet the low dew point requirements of various industries.
The following is the working principle of the cold dryer:
Refrigerated compressed air dryer: referred to as cold dryer
Cold dryer principle: Based on the principle of freezing and dehumidification, it is like a refrigerator, but the effect is more significant than that of a refrigerator. The hot compressed air is forced to pass through the evaporator for heat exchange and cooling, so that the gaseous water and oil in the compressed air are cooled isobarically and condensed into liquid water and oil, and the dust is discharged from the system through the automatic drainer, thereby obtaining clean compressed air.
Cooling medium: air-cooled cold dryer/water-cooled cold dryer.
Further subdivision according to temperature: there are normal temperature cold dryers and high temperature cold dryers, the reference temperature is 45 and 80, the inlet temperature is less than 45℃, which is called normal temperature type, and the inlet temperature is higher than 45℃ and lower than 80℃, which is called high temperature type cold dryer.
Working conditions and technical indicators, the working environment temperature is less than 38℃, the pressure dew point is 2-10℃, the inlet pressure is generally 6-10 kg, and the pressure loss is within 5%.
The cold dryer can be combined with the suction dryer to form a combined dryer.
The principle of the cold dryer is to force the hot compressed air through the evaporator for heat exchange and cooling.
The heat exchangers can be divided into shell and tube type and plate exchange type, so there are shell and tube cold dryers and plate exchange cold dryers.
The general working pressure is below 10 kg. Kaishan KSAD is a shell and tube cold dryer. If the pressure exceeds 13 kg, it must be matched with a plate exchange cold dryer. For example, the integrated laser cutting air compressor, the pressure reaches 16 kg, and a plate exchange cold dryer must be configured.
